FAMILY BACKGROUND

My family has lived in Puerto Rico for the past 3-4 generations beyond that most of my family came from Spain. Its difficult to trace but we know the regions in Spain are Mayorca and Galicia. My French bloodlines are even harder to trace but we know that my great grandfather moved to Puerto Rico from St. Marteen having his family emigrated from France. There is a strong sense that my surname was changed along the way but my great-grandfaterh died when my grandfather was very young so most of the history was lost in the years.
