FAMILY BACKGROUND

My parents emigrated from Mumbai to England in the late 60s. My brother and I were born in London, but we moved to the burbs when I was 7 - the only Indian family in our town. Growing up without any extended family, it was just the 4 of us. The 'lost tribe' as my parents liked to joke. I came to America for my studies when I was 18 - as the son of immigrants, it was the first time I felt at home.
